Our Services

Prowse Quantity Surveyors offers a comprehensive suite of quantity surveying services and tailor our service offerings to meet the needs of our clients.

Cost control is the key to construction success. PQS can assist in keeping your project finances in check every step of the way.

  • Project Feasibility

Undertaking a financial feasibility study prior to committing to a project in full is a cost-effective way to assess the viability of a project allowing for an informed decision to be made.

The Stage ‘A’ cost plan is based on the functional area of the concept design and provides a low fee basis for deciding whether to reconsider the scope of the project to match the defined budget before proceeding to detailed cost planning.

  • Cost Planning Services

From schematic design, design development documentation to full tender package, we provide detailed elemental Stage B, C and D cost plans and tailored advice to achieve best value for money outcomes.

All cost plans prepared by PQS provide cost checks, cost statements, comparative cost studies and advice on modification in documentation.

  • Value Management

At PQS, we assist our clients by analysing and reviewing the proposed design of a project and its specific functional requirements to ensure the final project design meets all requirements, and that no funds are wasted.

In the case of a cost plan exceeding client expectations, we identify the causes and assist in the process of determining whether the budget, scope or design requires revision.

  • Post Contract Services

Ensuring contractor claims are thoroughly verified and monitoring project cash flow, and defining and managing a contingency is essential to ensure a project remains on budget and on time.

We review builders’ claims, inspecting the site to verify each claim and ensuring the work is completed prior to approval. This mitigates the risk of contractor overpayment, protecting our client’s interests.

  • Bank Reports

At PQS we work with many lenders to ensure that risk is minimised on all types of construction projects.

This involves preparing an initial report which is a comprehensive document that contains all compliance and regulatory requirements associated with the project. We process monthly drawdowns according to lender requirements to ensure that appropriate funds are released once work completed on site has been assessed against the contractor’s claim.

  • Insurance and Value at Risk Assessments

At PQS we work with some of Australia’s largest insurers to provide value-at-risk and insurance valuation replacement assessments for a range of residential, commercial and industrial sites.

As Quantity Surveyors, we assess the scope of work and provide detailed costings for our clients. We also provide review and assessment of progress claims during insurance repair works.
